Fruity Overnight Oats

Overnight Oats are sometimes also known as Bircher muesli. Traditionally a Swiss recipe that includes grated apple and yoghurt and is eaten cold for breakfast. This is a great recipe to throw together the night before so you have a quick, healthy breakfast ready to go!

Serves 4

Ingredients

200g porridge oats 

100ml apple juice (not from concentrate)

1 eating apples, grated- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

100g natural yoghurt 

100g blueberries, or another berry

Topping ideas…Berries, nuts, seeds, fruit pieces

Method

Mix all your ingredients up in a bowl and then separate out the mixture into 4 jars, or containers with sealable lids.

Close the lids and pop them in the fridge overnight.

To serve, open the lid and add your toppings. Let the happy, healthy breakfast eating begin!
